Engineering Scholarships

For Currently Enrolled Engineering Students
College of Engineering Undergraduate Scholarship Application
Deadline: February 1 of each year
Requirements:

Applicants must
• be currently enrolled in a major in the Dwight Look College of Engineering
• be working on the first baccalaureate degree
• have a minimum cumulative GPR of 2.75
• submit a current resume as part of the application

The college of engineering is now using the Texas A&M common scholarship application for current students. Please complete the online application available on the following web site:

All applicants must submit a current resume as part of the application process. Applications completed online that do not have a current resume submitted to the office below will be considered incomplete. Students should submit resumes to the following office on or before the February 1 deadline:

Selection
Process:
Applications are evaluated on scholastic achievement, leadership, financial need, special circumstances, number of family in college currently and first generation in college. Application forms are ranked by at least 2 members of the engineering general scholarship committee. Recipients are then matched to donors based on specifications such as major or geographic location. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Craig Brown Outstanding Senior Engineer Award
Deadline: June 30, 2008
Requirements:

• enrolled as a full time student at Texas A&M University
• majoring in Engineering
• in good academic standing
• minimum overall GPR of 3.50
• scheduled to graduate in December 2008, May 2009 or August 2009

Selection
Process:
Applications are evaluated on scholastic achievement, leadership, and character. All applications received by the Engineering Student Services and Academic Programs office will be submitted to the respective department for nomination. Each department may nominate three students for this award. Students receiving a departmental nomination will be notified by the Brown Outstanding Senior Engineer Award Committee.
