Workshop Details

For the past eight years, graduate students in the Dwight Look College of Engineering have won a significant number of NSF Fellowship awards that come to Texas A&M.  Our goal is to continue this track record by providing student applicants with the necessary resources and guidance for developing successful applications.

As such, each academic year the Dwight Look College of Engineering along with the TEES Strategic Research Development Office sponsors an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP) Workshop.  In addition, there will be a panel of current NSF Fellowship recipients to provide an opportunity for applicants to ask questions and learn from their experiences in developing completing the application.

Eligibility for the Workshop

  • Be a US citizen, US national, or permanent resident alien
  • Be in a research-focused Master's or Ph.D. program in engineering
  • Be attending an accredited United States institution
  • Have completed no more than twelve months of full-time* graduate study
*The "no more than twelve months" limit applies to your entire post-baccalaureate career. If you have completed less than twelve months of your Ph.D. but have previously completed a Master's degree, you would be considered to have more than twelve months of graduate study.
  • Be a Junior/Senior engineering undergraduate interested in graduate school
