Events for Prospective Undergraduate Students

Aggieland Saturday - Engineering Events
Description: One day, University wide open house event held each Spring, usually in February. Colleges and service offices at Texas A&M provide information, tours and presentation sessions for interested high school students. There is no registration required, and you set your own schedule for the day. Engineering insights Summer Camp
Description: The Engineering insights summer camp is a special 4 day summer program (usually held in June/July) designed to give high school students with an interest in science, mathematics and engineering an opportunity to explore engineering as a career. Participants stay in air-conditioned residence halls, attend special classes, see engineering activities in progress in laboratories and do a bit of engineering themselves. A program application is required - deadline to apply is usually late April. Visit the Ei web site for more information.

SWE High School Conference
Description:

Two day conference designed to offer high school students interested in math, science and engineering a firsthand look at the opportunities available to them in the field of engineering. Coordinated by the Texas A&M student chapter of the Society of Women Engineers. Usually held each year in February. Registration is required - deadline to register is usually mid January. SEC FAME Conference
Description:

FAME (Future A&M Engineers) is a 2 day program offered in the spring semester designed for high school sophomores and juniors to learn about the different disciplines of engineering. Coordinated by the Texas A&M Student Engineers' Council. Usually held each year in March. Registration is required - deadline is usually in February. Graduate Invitational (GI)
Description: The Graduate Fall Invitational (GI) Conference is a two day event (usually held in March) to recruit highly qualified U.S. citizens and permanent residents (including underrepresented ethnic minority and women) who are currently college juniors, seniors, and first year Master's students for the Master's and Ph.D. programs in the College of Engineering. Students must be selected to participate in this program - applications available from the web site listed below.
